With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Diantha Fairfax Cartrette of Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on September 21, 2023 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Fairfax and Mamie Hilburn Fairfax; and her husband Jerry Cartrette. She is survived by: her children, Diantha Joan Cartrette of Whiteville and Eddie Cartrette (Lisa) of Whiteville; her siblings, Bill Fairfax (Jo) of Green Sea, SC, Ken Shelly (Diane) of Chadbourn, Oylanda Suggs (Herman) of Loris, SC and Doris Griffith of Harley Field, SC; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Bunch (Brittany), Timothy Bunch (Billie) and Megan Cartrette. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
