He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Hill Ward of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Natalie Hill of Ocean Isle, Kelly Hill Thompson (Roy) of Florence, SC, Kathy Ward Davis (Craig) of Bladenboro and Joyanna Ward Williams (Kevin) of Whiteville; his great grandchildren, Dylan Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Holland Davis, Nathan Davis, Fletcher Williams and Samantha Ward; his nephew Donald Holmes; his nieces, Charlotte McDuffie and Gretchen Sholar; and his caregivers, Dedrick and Devoria Anders.
