He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Dock Leo, Betha Patterson Banther, Carl Banther and Rhoda Clark Rice; his parents, Kenneth Banther and Ruth Woodring (Rufus); and his brother Joseph Banther.
He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Banther, Bryan Kelly Banther of Lake Toxaway and Freda Dias (André); his nephews, Caleb Dias and Joshua Dias; his niece Sara Dias of Cary, NC; and his close friend Lane Peabody of Old Toxaway. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
