It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Chapman Jr. of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Medford Chapman and Lillian Dodgin Chapman; his children, Anita Chapman Rhodes and Michael; his brothers, Jerry and Lester; his wife Hazel; his children, Phillip of Charleston and Deborah of Cullowhee; his grandchildren, Bryan Rhodes, Lori Rhodes Zeman, Alyssa, Anabelle and Allston Henry; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Emma and Oliver Rhodes; and his siblings, Myrtle McNeely, Margaret Dills, Mable Parker, Lawrence, Charles, Carl and Gary.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations made to the Eliada Childrens Home, 2 Compton Drive, Asheville, NC 28806.
