He was predeceased by: his parents, John Claffey and Edith Claffey; his daughter Coleen Spinka; and his sisters, Barbara Perlongo and Carol Romaine.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his son Jason of Boca Raton, FL; his stepchildren, Jennifer (Tara) and John of Concord, NC; his son-in-law Michael of Boca Raton, FL; his siblings, Jim Claffey (Nicky) of River Edge, NJ, Lillian of River Edge, NJ, Jackie of River Edge, NJ and Edie; his mother-in-law Connie of Pembroke Pines, FL; and his grandchildren, Madison, Zander, Riley, Luke and Lila. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
