With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Read Patten of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2023 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Brooks Patten and Virginia Nash Patten. He is survived by: his children, Lucie and Benjamin; the parent of his children Cristy Smathers Patten; and his brothers, Don (Ginny), Rob (Lisa) and Tom (Katie). He is also survived by six nieces & nephews and their spouses; and a great niece and nephew, as well as numerous extended family and loving friends.
The family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Lake Junaluska Annual Fund, P.O. Box 67 Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.
