It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bill Lowry of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Lowry; his parents, Emmett Ramsey Lowry and Pearl Tew Lowry; and his sisters, Bobbye Lowry and Josephine Clements.
He is survived by: his children, Cissy Lowry Vertrees (Steve) and Bill Lowry (Sherry Cate); his grandchildren, Lacey Carter (Norman), Kyle Lowry (Helen), Conner Lowry, Hunter Lowry (Kay), David Vertrees and Rebekah Vertrees; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Loryn Carter, Annaliese and Alden Lowry; and his niece Carolyn Clements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The National Park Services, Lake Junaluska Assembly, or FUMC of Waynesville.
