She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman H. "Snooks" Vinson and Hazel P. Vinson; her sister Marie Smith; and her brother-in-law Bob Ivey Smith. She is survived by: her husband Elvin Herring; her children, Stacy Herring (Dayna) and Sherry Smith (Beecher); her grandchildren, Jessica (William), Cayce (Trinity), Allyson (Cole) and Alex; her siblings, Lou Ann Price (Jake), Jimmy Vinson (Linda), Mary Cruse (William Earl), Sheila Suggs and Donna Smith; and her brother-in-law Buddy Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Garris Chapel Church (823 Piney Grove Rd, La Grange, NC 28551).
