He is survived by: his wife Janet Pitts Strickland; his daughters, Janice Croom (Sam) and JoAnne McIntosh (Will); his grandchildren, Samantha (Grayson), Matthew, Jack and Nick; and his siblings, Ann Exum, J. M. Strickland, Billy Strickland and Dennis Strickland.
