It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harold Herring (La Grange, North Carolina), born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Deb Herring and Clemmie Braxton Herring; and his sister Virginia "Shorty" Herring Wade. He is survived by: his wife Annie Ruth Sutton Herring; his son Harold Herring, Jr. (Bev); his grandchildren, James "Jim" Harold Herring, III, Samantha, James Fredric Herring, Abigail Herring PreJean (Chris) and Alexandra Herring; his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Andrew Herring, Sophia, Symphony and Georgie PreJean; and his siblings, Jimmie D. Herring (Angie) and Glennie Herring Rumschlag.
The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the committal, respectfully requesting that guests abide by social distancing standards for the health and well-being of everyone attending.
