He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wyatt Beard and Julia Tiffany Hill Beard. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Barnett Beard; his children, Tammy Beard Kennedy (Red) and Mark Lee Beard; his grandchildren, Dr. Whitney Kennedy Clifton (James), Dr. Hillari Kennedy Webb (Sam), Seth Michael Beard, Caleb West Beard (Isabella Bedoya Herrera) and Luke Christopher Beard (Fernanda); his great grandchildren, Julian Hillard Clifton, William Augustus Clifton and Winter Ozell Webb; and his siblings, Ray Wyatt Beard (Geneva) and Connie Jo Beard Heath. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Rouse Funeral Home (108 N Caswell St, La Grange, NC 28551).
