He was predeceased by: his parents, George Allen Byrd, Sr. and Alice Fields Byrd; his wife Dorothy Sugg Byrd; and his siblings, Jennings, Rudolph, Kenneth, Carlton Byrd, Vera Baker, Frances Harrison and Evelyn Sugg.
He is survived by: his daughter LaJune "Bunny" Byrd Hill; his grandsons, Roy Frank "Frankie" Hill, Jr. (Mary-Kathryn) and Tony Allen Hill; his great grandchildren, Barbara "Maysie" Hill, George Marshall Hill, Roy Frank "Trey" Hill, III (Lauren) and Zachary Allen Hill (Alex); his great great grandchildren, Ava and Remi Hill; and his sister Alice Cerasia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
