He was predeceased by: his father Walter Emmitt; and his siblings, Judy Ward, Carrol Suddreth and Donald Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Dora Ham Parrish; his children, Christel Parrish Perry (Jay) and Emmitt Eugene "Gene" Parrish, Jr. (April); his grandchildren, Taylor Whitman (Hunter), Trey Perry, Madison Bell (Hunter) and Bailey Parrish; his sister Sylvia Galloway (Ronnie); his siblings-in-law, Joe Ward, Wade Suddreth and Christine Parrish; and his friends, Bryce and Nelda Johnson. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
