With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edd Leamon Suggs Jr. of La Grange, North Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Leamon Suggs, Sr. and Bertha Mae Jernigan Suggs; his wife Dorothy Aldridge Suggs; and his siblings, Ruth Cox and Parrott Suggs.
He is survived by: his children, Edd Leamon Suggs, III (Julie) and Lisa Suggs MacQueen (Kevin); his grandchildren, James Edward Frost, Jr., Heather Wilson, Brittney Rogers and Robbie Morawski; and his sister Olia Lee Sugg. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
He attended Duke University in 1960 on a National Science Foundation grant to study mathematics.
