It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Thurman (La Grange, North Carolina), born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ray Thurman and Mildred June Greene Thurman; and his brother Kelly Thurman. He is survived by: his children, Tiffany Barnes (Chris), John Paul Thurman and Daniel Thurman-Sharp (Shane); his grandchildren, Breanna Barnes (John), Amanda Barnes and Ryan Barnes; his great grandchildren, Norah and Ellie; his pet Finnley; his siblings, Tim Thurman (Lana) and Amye Thurman; his aunt Matilda Sykes; his nieces, Tara Fry and Olivia Neidhart; and his close friend Susan Price.
