She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Malkowski and Delores Fanslau Malkowski; her children, Amanda Jean Gatewood and Barry Polifka of Mt. Olive; and her sister Sharon VerDoot (Milton) of New Bern. She was also cherished by three grandchildren.
