She was predeceased by: her parent Durward Odell LaMastus; her son Dennis Earl Smith; and her sister Virginia Nell La Mastus. She is survived by: her husband Horace Dennis Smith; her daughters, Lynnette Burton (Chuck) of Oregon and Denise Dunavent (Bobby) of Mississippi; her grandchildren, Caitlynn Hamilton and Luke Dunavent; her sisters, Billie Ruth Cocke, Kathy Seay, Betty Sanders and Monica LaMastus; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Frances Kennedy of La Grange and James Allen Smith (Betty Jean) of Goldsboro.
