She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Matchett and Audrey Suggs Herring; her brother Eddie; and her siblings-in-law, Myra Herring and Bobby Bartlett.
She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Bartlett; her daughters, Elizabeth Bartlett and Dee Cox (Brandon); her grandchildren, Ann Matchett, Fletcher and Jackson Cox; and her siblings, Florence Smith (Curtis) and Chubby Herring (Paula). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rouse Funeral Home (108 N Caswell St, La Grange, NC 28551). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (107 N Forbes St, La Grange, NC 28551).
