She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Cox and Thelma Coley; her sisters, Joyce Coley and Carol Coley; her nephew Michael Coley; and her aunt Emma Uzzell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Martrina Britt Carter (Thomas) of Goldsboro and Keshia Mitchell (Timothy) of Atlanta, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Timothy Jerome Brooks (TJ), Brittne Martrina Brooks, Levi Hamilton, IV (Quad), Timothy-Keith Mitchell (TK), Joshua Lleyton-Hewitt Mitchell and J'Lexus Carter. She is also survived by her seven, great-grandchildren; her niece; her nephew; a host of loving cousins, loving family members and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (414 E Washington St, La Grange, NC 28551). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
