George Purcell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2020, at the age of 93, George Purcell (Kure Beach, North Carolina), born in Greensboro, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Purcell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Delores Dooley Purcell; and his parents, George W. Purcell Sr. and Mozelle Purcell. He is survived by: his siblings, Bryant Purcell, Jane Lemons and JoAnn Stanley; his sister-in-law Donna Dooley Gajewski; and his children, Pam Finney (Kenneth), Wanda Waters (Dale), Lisa Petty (Gary), Billy Purcell, Gary Purcell (Sandy), Ricky Purcell and Joey Purcell (Jonathan). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 12 Great Great grand- children.
Due to current COVID restrictions, a private memorial service will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, one may make a charitable contribution in Bill Purcell's name to the (North Carolina Aquarium at Ft. Fisher) 900 Loggerhead rd.
