She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas D. Herring and Mazie Brice Herring; her husband Rudolph Howell; and her siblings, Marie Carter, Hazel Powell, Irene Lewis, Kitty Wingo, Tappy Murray, Eunice Reddington, George Herring and Thomas A. Herring.
She is survived by: her children, Mark E. Howell (Cecille) and Karen Dillinger (John); her grandchildren, Katie Ellis (Tim), Megan Tuttle (Hunter), Lauren Knight (Alex), Claire and Camille Howell; her great grandchildren, Holden Ellis, Hannah Ellis and Fletcher Tuttle; and her sisters-in-law, Sally Herring and Cherry Howell.
