He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Carlton Harper, Sr. and Martha Clara Hinsley Harper; and his siblings, Wade Carlton Harper Jr., Thomas Richard "Dick" Harper and JoAnne Harper Spivey.
He is survived by: his son William "Dave" Davis Harper, Jr. (Teresa).
