He is survived by: his wife Dr. Carlether Gillespie Burwell of Knightdale, N. C.; his sister Winifred "Winnie" Burwell; his sons, William Michael [Angie], Jeffrey, N. Y., Ernest [Nattalie] of Raleigh, N. C and Zawandi of Raleigh, N. C; his nieces and nephews, Ursula [James], Carol, Charlene, Vivian, Donald, Noman and James; his sisters-in-law, Marie, Carolyn and Vivian; his grandsons, Justin and Travis [Taylor] of Ohio; and his great grandchild Keagan of Ohio. He is also survived by numerous cousins, other family members and friends.
Due to Covid-19, the service will be for the immediate family only and MASK are required in order to attend the visitation or the funeral service.
