With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott McAfee Gaston (Knightdale, North Carolina), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 36. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Anne, Joe Jackson and Charles Gaston; his uncles, Steve Jackson, Lew Hoffman and Britt Gaston; and his cousin Chase Gaston.

He is survived by: his wife Miranda Fluharty of Raleigh; his parents, Greg Gaston and Amy Gaston of Asheville; his brother Hank; his sister-in-law Michelle; his nephews, Asher and Ryland of Pineville; his sister Elizabeth; his brother-in-law Loke Palanisamy (Palanisamy); his grandmother Coralyn Gaston of Waycross, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Larry (Nancy Jackson), Pamela Jackson of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Joanne Hoffman of Taylors, Kish (Al Stevens), Joseph (Maureen Jackson), Van Gaston of Jacksonville, Florida, Lyn and John Jacobs of Waycross, Georgia; and his cousins, Stacey, Joe Jackson, Megan, Chris Jackson, Sheri, Stephen Jackson, Giles Jackson, Kenny, Allison Tucker, Morgan Stevens, Parker Gaston, Audrey, Emma and Cori Jacobs.
