He was predeceased by: his father James Hardy Walston; and his siblings, Adell Walston Windham, Sallie Ruth Walston Whitley and James Earl "Sambo" Walston. He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dee" Jean Griffin Walston; his daughters, Judy Barbour (Mike) and Debbie Hodges (Ken); his grandchildren, Brett Bunting (Jodi), Michael Barbour (Kari), Eric Bunting and Nicole Schmitz (Joe); his great grandchildren, Cailyn Schmitz, Trevor Barbour, Brayden Schmitz, James Barbour, Mallory Bunting, Izzie Barbour and Brycen Bunting; his brother William Ray "Billy" Walston (Fannie Leigh); and his sister-in-law Rochelle Walston.
