She was predeceased by: her father Harper Hillman House; her husband Joseph M. Barrett; her siblings, Harper Hillman House, Jr., Talmadge Wesley House, Howard Marshall House and Rebecca House Wilson; and her half-sisters, Edith King and Eileen Arnold.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Wood Lewis (Warren), Linda Wood Houser, Robert S. Wood (Trina), Teresa Wood Niemeyer (Mark) and Judy Larue Wood; her sister Marjorie House Walker; and her sisters-in-law, Dollie House and Betsy House. She is also survived by two step-daughters; several step-grandchildren.
