He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Irwin West and Iva Lancaster West; and his grandson Weslee Percell Diener. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Hopson West; his children, Kristy Guyer (Blaine) of Wendell, Brooke Diener (Daniel) of Raleigh and John West, Jr. (Meredith) of Wendell; his grandchildren, Caroline West, Adler Guyer, Isabell Guyer, Natalee Diener, Brantlee Diener and Paislee Diener; and his brother Dennis West (Becky) of New Bern.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (8400 Poole Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
