She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alexander and Verestia Violet Sharp Shannon; and her son-in-law Thomas C. Dixon III. She is survived by: her former husband John V. Rhoads; her children, John C. Rhoads, Janet Rhoads Dixon and Lynne Rhoads; and her grandchildren, Dite, Kelly Novak, Freddy, Jene Rhoads, Jeff, Tina Rhoads, Tom, Heather Dixon, Daniel and Megan Radford. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
