He is survived by: his son James Kenneth Lowery (Virginia); his granddaughter Valerie Holt Leary (Kurt) of Raleigh, NC; his daughter-in-law Nancy Roach Lowery; his grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Lowery and Christopher James Lowery of Indian Trail, NC.; his great grandchildren, Grayson Vickers of Indian Trail, NC, Holt and Daisy Leary of Raleigh, NC; and also Byron Simmons, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
