He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Carlton Proctor, Sr.; his wife Barbara McEwen Proctor; his former wife Nancy Cloer Godley; and his siblings, Claudia Proctor Watson (Harvey), Daniel Carlton Proctor (Ruth) and William Wesley Proctor (Vicki).
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Proctor Mustin (Lloyd), Susan White Pruitt (Ralph) and Henry Stevens Proctor II (Misty); and his siblings-in-law, Lenna McEwen McLean of Southern Pines, NC, Rosalind McEwen of Laurel, MD, Beth McEwen Etheridge of Aiken, SC and James McEwen of Hamlet, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Presbyterian Friendship Fund, First Presbyterian Church, 112 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.
