He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahijibhai Desai and Surajben Desai; his brother Chandubhai; and his sister-in-law Champaben. He is survived by: his wife Kusumben; his brother Girishbhai; his sister-in-law Prafulben; his sons, Kalpit and Vidyut; his daughters-in-law, Umi and Nupam; and his grandchildren, Diva, Vir, Anish, Priya and Riya. He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and his extended family.
