It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean Mitchell Gaskins (Knightdale, North Carolina), born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Lester Gaskins; and his brother Cliff Gaskins. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Jean Penny Gaskins; his wife Patsy Pickett Gaskins; his son Brandon Gaskins (Rachel Holden-Gaskins); his granddaughter Leilani Willadean Gaskins; his brothers, Glenn Gaskins (Kristi) and Blair Gaskins; his sister-in-law Terri Gaskins; his nieces and nephews, Chelsea Cadwell (Evan), Zach Gaskins (Jessica), Melissa Gaskins (Jordan), Ken Gaskins (Sara), Zach Krohn and Jessica Krohn; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Pickett (Linda), Mike Pickett (Sheila), Nancy Paynter and Ida Davis (Sam).

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a college fund for Leilani.
