Clay of Knightdale, North Carolina, born in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry (Alva Clay) and David. He is survived by: his children, Jason (Amy), Scott, Matthew (Jillmarie) and Hannah Hopkins (Lee); his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Megan, Caelyn, Tryston, Carson, Harlan, Eden and Eliza; his siblings, Frankie "Sue" Copeland Downey of Hokes Bluff, AL and Dr. Ricky P. Clay (Emily) of Oronoco, MN; and his brother-in-law Doug Lewis (Amy) of Tarboro, NC.. He is also survived by friends and classmates.
