He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Biscoe Womble and Lucille Moore Womble; and his sister Martha W. Waters. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Davis Womble; his daughter Julie Womble Smith (Brad); his grandchildren, Parker Smith and Shelby Smith; and his sister DeWilda W. Joyner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
