He was predeceased by: his father Chester "Check" Sargent; and his nephew Geoffrey Sargent. He is survived by: his mother Dolores Sargent of Dunbar, WV; his brothers, Chester "Chuck" Sargent Jr. (Linda) and John Sargent (Lisa); his children, Jared Sargent (Juliana), Brandon Sargent (Meg), Abbie Sargent Bridges, Adam and Josie Sargent (Patrick); his grandchildren, Mckinnley, Avery and Maggie; and his nieces, Morgan, Allie and Amanda.
The family is accepting flowers or donations to NC Hunters for the Hungry or the Knightdale police and fire departments.
