She was predeceased by: her parents, Lessie Hicks Preddy and Buck Preddy; her spouse Hartwell K. Briggs; her daughter Angie B. Hayes; and her brothers, Landis Preddy and Thomas Preddy.
She is survived by: her daughter Theresa Lorraine Bywater of Morongo Valley, California; her granddaughters, Jessica Shirl Hayes and Sarah Gray Isenberg; her son-in-law Allen Hayes of Kittrell; and her sister Doris Wheeler of Franklin County. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
