She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hartwell Wallace Sr. and Marie Jerrell Wallace; and her siblings, Cathy Wallace Rivera and Jerry Wallace. She is survived by: her husband Charles Flaxcomb Jr.; her children, Chelsea Griffin (Christopher), Christopher Abbott (April) and Charles Flaxcomb III (Catherine); her grandchildren, Jordan Flaxcomb, Tanner Abbott, Emma Abbott and Elizabeth Griffin; her brother James Wallace Jr. (Marsha); her nieces and nephews, Sandy Arnold (Lynn), Cindy Langley (David), Josh Boyd (Tasha) and Robbie Fleming; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kimberly Stephenson (Jeffrey), Lucy Alston (Anthony), Megan Arnold, Carrie Horton, Brandon Arnold (Lindsey) and Lee Pegram (Megan); and her close friend Sheryl Perry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A memorial service was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
