He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Robert Gupton and Sally Weaver Gupton; and his brothers, Robert O. Gupton and Harvey Gupton. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Eubanks Gupton; his children, Shannon R. West of Youngsville, Margaret Gupton of Newport, Jessica Gupton Renn of Oxford, Jeffrey Richardson of Milton, FL and Bud James Gupton of Henderson; and his siblings, Elizabeth G. Ellis of Henderson, Merdice G. Hannon of Henderson, Mickey Gupton of Henderson and Charles Gupton of Franklinton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
