He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Sr. Sherron and Katherine Williams Sherron; his wife Anna Sherron; and his siblings, James "Nello" Sherron, Walter Sherron and Patricia Carter.
He is survived by: his son Jimmie Gupton (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Matthew, Carleigh and Lia Gupton; his siblings, John Sherron (Betty), Martha Weathers (Bobby) and Bonnie Lockleair; and his pets, Axle, Rock and Ribeye. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
