She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elvin Briggs and Gertrude Rhodes Briggs; her husband Henry Bracy Stanton; her son Craig Stanton; her granddaughter Leigh Anne Stanton; and her siblings, Joan Pernell, Elvin Briggs and Newt Rhodes.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Stanton (Shelia) of Henderson and Billy Joe Stanton of Kittrell; her grandchildren, Stephanie Stanton Vaughn (Randall) and Wil Stanton (Sherri Short); and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Vaughn, Austin Vaughn and Bracy Stanton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Christian Church, 1470 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
