She was predeceased by: her parents, Sue Stanton Griffin and Ira Jensen; her husband Herbert Millard "Big Man" Grissom; her great grandchild Tyler Moss; her stepgranddaughter Ryan Stainback; and her sisters, Charlene J. Hanford and Loretta J. Bowes.
She is survived by: her children, Becky G. Duke (Danny) of Kittrell, Herbie Grissom (Paula) of Kittrell, Al Grissom (Faye) of Henderson and Tony Grissom; her siblings, Betty J. Grissom of Henderson and Johnny R. Griffin (Julie) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Bob Moss (Anita), Rod Moss (Tina), Everett Grissom (Jen), Scott Grissom (Joy), Trenton Grissom (Sherry), Adriene Myers, Andrew Grissom, Anthony Grissom, Anna Kathryn Grissom and Alex Grissom; her great grandchildren, Jessica Moss (Nathan), Olivia Moss (Sage), Reese Moss, Hailey Grissom, Whitt Grissom, Clara Grissom, Tyler Myers and Elle Myers; her great great grandchild Zane Hicks; her stepgrandson Aaron Stainback; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lillian Stainback, Addison Stainback, Ace Stainback, London Stainback and Elizabeth Stainback; her great-niece Shyanne Mosny (Chris); and also, Allie Kay and Mason.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 140 W Main St, Kittrell, NC 27544. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fuller Chapel Christian Church (1470 N Lynnbank Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
