He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Charles Ellis, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Bouteiller Ellis of Kittrell; his daughters, Ashley Ellis of Kittrell and Hayley Massengill (Blake) of Raleigh; and his siblings, Erin-Marie Boemmels, Suzette Dixon, Ernest Charles Ellis, Jr., Frank Ellis, Jr. of Wilmington and Dennis Ellis, Sr. of Kittrell.
