He was predeceased by: his son Dennis Wayne Dickerson; and his siblings, Lynwood Dickerson, Nelson Dickerson, Charles Dickerson, Dorothy Woodlief, Christine Forsythe and Marjorie Dixon.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne D. Schmidt (Eric) of Raleigh and Michael W. Dickerson (Donna) of Kittrell; his grandchildren, Wayne, John, Danielle, Justin, Melissa, Candace, Stephen, Kelly and Leah; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Jacob, Charlie, Ruby, Silas and Paisley.
