She was predeceased by: her husband John "Dempsey"; her parents, Larry Sutton Howell and Sadie Dawson Howell; and her brother Gregor Ray Howell, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Parks Johnson (Tony) and John Dempsey Parks, Jr.; her granddaughters, Julie Thomas Gautier (Tony) and Kristen Drew Thomas (Shane Harris); her great grandchild Sadie Grace Gautier; and her nephews, Gregor "Ray" Howell, Jr. (Rhonda Heath) and David "Glen" Howell (Alysia).
