He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ellis and Arrie Penny Ellis; his son Scott Ellis; and his siblings, Bobby Ellis and Maggie Nealy.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Ellis (Kimberly) of California, Larry Ellis (Jennifer) of California and Bobby Ellis (Elizabeth) of Hertford, NC; and his sisters, Dorothy Ellis Oxendine of Laurinburg and Barbara Ellis Stone Fore of Laurinburg. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
