She is survived by: her son Chris Thompson; her grandchildren, Mandee (Dwayne Morgan), Christy Thompson (Tyler Davenport), Ashley (Ryan Harrell), Tracey (Curtis Whitley), Stacey (Martin Dody) and Scott (Cayce Tilghman); her great grandchildren, Saylor, Gavin Whitley, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Tilghman, Maddox Dody, Carson, Scotlyn Tilghman, Abram Smith, Beau, Beckett and Brooks Harrell; her siblings, Patricia T. Lupton, Andrea T. Baron, William T. Teachey and Lynwood P. Teachey; and her close friends, Patricia Pearce, Teri Lavin, Hilda Smith and Minnie Gillette.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Howard - Carter Funeral Service (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, 1936 Banks School Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
