With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Davis Poer of Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Poer; and her parents, Levi Davis and Ethel Jarman Davis. She is survived by: her children, Wendy Dillon (Keith), Angel Dail and Rob Dail; her daughter-in-law Candice Dail; her granddaughters, Leanna Benson (Andy), Heather Dillon, Rebecca Mejia (Kevin), Natalie Dail, Chloe Dail and Katie Dillon; her great grandchild Enzo Mejia; and her sisters, Peggy Cauley, Norma Pate, Trisha Eubank (Frankie) and Audrey White (Bobby). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in her honor/memory to St Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and Sudan Shriners Children's Hospital Fund, PO Drawer 12829, New Bern, NC 28561, which were two of her favorite charities.
