It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Elliott of Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennings Douglas and Leila Medlin Douglas; her husband Guy T. Elliott, Jr.; her siblings, Linda Douglas Stone, Tommie Lynn Douglas and Donnie Glenn Douglas; and her grandson Robert J. Smith, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Jennings Smith (Dixie) of Hubert and Guy Thomas Elliott III (Lian) of Roanoke Rapids; and her grandchildren, Robbie Hubbard of Fayetteville, Mary Goode (Jason) of Fayetteville, Samantha Bryant (Michael) of Swansboro and Bradley H. Elliott of Roanoke Rapids. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Gordon Street Christian Church (118 E Gordon St, Kinston, NC 28501). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
