We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2023, at the age of 88, Peggy Bradshaw Wetherington of Kinston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Bradshaw and Eula Mae Thomas Bradshaw; and her sister Grace Casey. She is survived by: her children, Irma Oakes Corbett (late Allen Wilson Corbett), Kay Oakes Boykin (Dennis), Bobbie Oakes Harrell (George Res), Sue Oakes Taylor (Johnny), Jesse Speight Oakes, Jr. (Shari Mewborn) and Pamela Oakes Holloman; her sisters, Betty Potter, Carolyn Owens and Connie Lancaster; and her close friend Ed Rose. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Gentiva Hospice, 115 Airport Road, Kinston NC 28501.
