He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Martha "Marti" Cheek Connor; his children, Lyra Blair Connor and Baby Connor; his parents, Sylvia Slater Connor and Mickey Whitfield Connor Sr.; his grandmother Mary Phillips Slater (Bryan); his parents-in-law, William Boyce Cheek Sr. (Laura Dixon Cheek) and Allison Knox Devechio (John Michael Devechio Sr); his brother-in-law William Boyce Cheek Jr. (Lauren Kayla Cheek); his pets, Buddy and Max; his grandparents, Edward, Jean Taylor and John C. Slater; and his friend Whit. He was also cherished by his cousins, extended family and all his friends.
